After you have decided to start or grow a business, one of the key things to consider is your marketing plan. You need to ask yourself questions such as:
- How can I reach my ideal client?
- What is the most effective marketing tactic to use?
- Where can I get training?
- How will I monetize my business?
- Are there other sources of income that I could add to my business?
And since most people who are old enough to make purchasing decisions use the Internet, it is also essential to take into account …
How do you go about marketing your business online?
Most people who have a business idea should ask themselves the same questions. That’s why it’s good to find a platform as Wealthy Affiliate that can help you answer it. In this Wealthy Affiliate review, I will let you know why.
But first, what is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate was published in 2005 by two young people named Kyle and Carson, who were passionate about technology! At the time, they went to school to learn about computers and technology, and starting a business on the Internet was very strange (even for them).
In developing their friendship, they both saw a growing interest in the Internet and discovered that it was possible to make money by starting an online business! They started with a keyword company where they sold a list of keywords they used to rank their website online and, over the years, have expanded their business: from a company of keywords to a forum and then to a committed community of more than 1.4 million entrepreneurs with a full set of tools to increase their online presence.
All thanks to them, thousands of businessperson (ordinary people like me) have the opportunity to start or intensify their passions in online commerce!
Wealthy Affiliate offers:
- High-end website hosting
- keyword research software
- Thousands of hours of Internet marketing training recorded
- An internet marketing certification that includes detailed information about social media marketing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, and, of course, affiliate marketing (their name suggests).
- Weekly live training
- Individual coaching
- And access to a very committed community of 1.5 million people!
They are popularly known for each of their products because everyone can be autonomous, but this combination has been recognized to stimulate many internet marketers with little or no ability to succeed in the internet marketing field. Included with the hosting of the website is:
- Site comments – This is a platform where feedback can be exchanged with other online entrepreneurs to boost SEO.
- Site feedback – Platform where you can request on-demand user tests to improve the user experience of your site.
- SiteDomains – A platform where you can sign up for domain names.
- SiteManager – where you can evaluate all the critical components of your site’s health in a dashboard.
- SiteContent – A platform where you can write content with a single identifier and publish it to any site hosted on the Wealthy Affiliate.
- SiteBuilder – A platform that allows you to create a WordPress site in less than 30 seconds!
Who created a Wealthy affiliate?
They are additionally the owners and creators of Jaaxy.com, the search engine’s keyword research tool.
Kyle offers all video tutorials and training courses. It is very active in the community of wealthy affiliates.
Carson, with computer training, works mostly behind the scenes, enhancing the Wealthy Affiliate engine to improve and redefine the user experience.
How does the Wealthy Affiliate work?
The Wealthy Affiliate has several components: community, hosting, website management, and training. Let me explain how each one works
When you create your free account for Wealthy Affiliate, you quickly realize how involved the community is. It works as a social media platform where there is a live stream, you have your profile page, and people can send messages and interact with each other. You can see updates from community members in your live stream, you can also post public messages to your profile, you can chat live with members, or you can send them a private message.
Engaging with the community is invaluable! I have been able to find many answers to my company’s problems thanks to the contacts in the community because there are entrepreneurs at all levels of success: startups to billionaires. Even the owners are actively involved!
After analyzing various hosting companies and trying several of them, I can honestly say that “Wealthy Affiliate is the best hosting company.” They offer many features that you will not find anywhere else.
The Website Management
If you have ever had a WordPress site, you know that you often make your changes, create your content, upload your content, and interact with visitors in WordPress. If you have multiple websites, you must sign in to each of them to create content and make updates. With Wealthy Affiliate, you can manage your sites much more efficiently with the SiteContent, SiteManager, SiteFeedback, SiteDomains, and SiteBuilder features.
Want to sign up for a new domain? You can do it from the interface. And If you’re going to receive comments on a publication, you can add your request to the peer-to-peer queue. If you’d like to know if site navigation or site design is user-friendly, you can add your request for comments to the SiteFeedback line and members will stop to share their impressions of your site’s user experience. The SiteManager dashboard also serves as a GPS for your online marketing efforts and provides recommendations on how to improve your website to optimize its ranking capability.
Wealthy Affiliate’s site management tools are the market leaders for a hosting platform, an Internet marketing platform, or a training platform. You will not find the suit in almost anywhere!
Wealthy Affiliate also serves as a free-market training platform that allows course creators to be paid for by creating courses and providing members with access to training (at no extra cost!). When you pay for your membership, you have access to thousands of hours of training offered by the platform: the owners and others do some by Wealthy Affiliate members. The topics are vast, but here are some of them:
- Social media marketing
- WordPress hacks
- Pay-per-click advertising
- Choosing affiliate networks
- Writing valuable content
- and so much more!

This would save you $ 205 if you were paying $ 47 a month for a year ($ 47 x 12 months = $ 564, $ 564 – $ 359 = $ 209 in savings, that seems like a bargain!).

Can you run a successful business using only the free membership option in Wealthy Affiliate? Well, you can, but I would not recommend it. However, I recommend you register for the free Wealthy Affiliate membership as a way to test things. Honestly, the free subscription is a bit of a teaser to get you to sign up for premium eventually, but most of us expect that to happen. What is good is that you can judge for yourself based on your free subscription. It’s worth it for you to sign up for the prize. In the end, only you can decide if the Wealthy affiliate is of high quality or not. You will have more than enough idea by subscribing to the free subscription option. On average, about 1 in 8 people switch to a premium subscription.
What you get with the PREMIUM membership option of the Wealthy affiliate program
The premium Wealthy Affiliate subscription is where you have access to absolutely everything. If you’re serious about creating an online business, never, in my eight years of experience in this industry, have I seen such an incredible community full of help, tools, and resources. I have used several other online marketing sites, but this site blows the rest of them out of the water.
The biggest problem I have encountered with previous training programs and marketing communities is their obsolescence. With a Wealthy Affiliate Premium subscription, you do not have to worry about it. New training is added daily, including weekly live video training sessions. You can also search and browse the courses they have created over the years. With a premium account, you also get unlimited access to community resources, which is one of my favorite aspects of Wealthy Affiliate. I spend hours every day chatting and sending messages to people who have clicked on the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate link. When someone uses my link to register, I am notified, and personal coaching can start. No other platform has provided this option before.
Here are some of the things included in the Wealthy Affiliate Premium subscription:
- Live Help – Unlimited
- Private Messages – Unlimited
- 50 sites
- Site security package
- Backup of the site
- Beginner’s course – Full access
- Personal affiliate blog
- Bootcamp Training for Affiliates – All Phases (7)
- Live video classes
- Video tours
- Keyword Research Tool – Unlimited Searches
- Training Classrooms – 2
- Affiliate program – 2x higher payment
- Earn by learning
- 1 in 1 Coaching – Unlimited
- Private access to webinars
- Site Feedback platform
- Site Comment platform
- 24/7/365 Website Support
- Website Analysis
Is it worth the price?
If you consider all the services you receive, the premium subscription is a steal. For example, you’ll notice that they include extensive research for keywords with a membership. Other paid keyword research tools are sold for $ 49 or more. Add website hosting, and there is another $ 10 / month. Add the site’s security package, and you’ll get $ 10 more per month (I paid up to $ 29 a month just for the security of the website). By relying solely on these elements, Wealthy Affiliate is an excellent solution with all the features and tools you need in a single location. Not to mention all the supports, training, and tutorials included in the membership.
Yes, it costs money, but starting a business requires an investment. The primary thing is to invest wisely, be frugal, and make sure you invest in the right things. With Wealthy Affiliate Premium, you get everything you need to start a successful online business. From training to Web authoring tools, hosting, backup, security, and support, everything is available in the same place for a very reasonable price.

- Even if you reach the summit, you will always want to be around because you will still be in touch with the changes of the sector and will have the best directions to overcome the difficulties and pitfalls that could arise and you will meet new people and exciting business opportunities.
Not all products are perfect. Perfection is an ideal, a goal to achieve. So, Wealthy Affiliate has some areas that require improvement:
- For newcomers, the amount of new information may seem excessive (this point is both positive and negative); it takes a little time to “calm down,” focus on an area and start (but even this is easily solved by the big “Getting Started” button)
- Communication between members is so good that one can get lost in conversations and lose focus on the study (again negative and positive simultaneously).
- I think a Wealthy Affiliate’s design can be improved. The number of possibilities, buttons, and options can sometimes be distracting. But this is my personal opinion; I prefer a cleaner layout with a lot of space.
I think that Wealthy Affiliate has so many good things to offer that it disintegrates and people can sometimes become disoriented. But it’s really up to you. Do you want to succeed and focus on your goals, or do you prefer to talk and lose yourself in a conversation by reading every comment when you need to study?
Wealthy Affiliate cons are mainly caused by those who choose the second option, not their real imperfections. Every time I remember it, its disadvantages disappear.
Some negatives things about Wealthy Affiliates …
As a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I know a lot about what they teach and how the community works. I have seen many complaints over the years and actually, deal with some complaints in the daily mentorship of my referrals.
“Well, if there are so many complaints, why are you still a member?”
I do not care how good this or that could be. If you give me the results, I’m happy. They produce more and more successes every year, so I think they are doing something right!
But you want to hear the critics. So let’s go.
Here are all the complaints I could think about Wealthy Affiliate. What you will read below will not be just a big rant about the wrong things. I want to cover what people are complaining about and give my opinion as to whether I consider the application valid or whether people do not understand what is happening.
Complaints of wealthy affiliates
1. No refund
Let’s get this No one claim out of the way. Wealthy Affiliate does not offer a refund! Yes, the rumors are true.
This is documented in their Terms of Service, although no one reads them (sections 4.2 and 4.3). This means that when you sign up, you agree to be billed monthly for a non-refundable service.
I understand why it’s frustrating! Most online services are currently pushing the idea that you can get a full refund if you are not satisfied with anything. Many companies have even endorsed your cancellation. If you register for 12 months and only use three months, the other fees will be reimbursed for nine months.
However, keep in mind that you can register for free at Wealthy Affiliate. The Starter subscription costs $ 0.00, and you do not even need to provide credit card information. You can make use of premium features like live chat for seven days and follow the first ten lessons (out of a total of 50) including creating a free website. If you register through someone like me (active member), you can even contact your sponsor directly and ask for help during these seven days.
If you do not upgrade to the Premium version, you can continue to work on your free website and viewing the training, although you may not be able to participate in the discussions.
The fact is that you get a complete picture of what you sign up for before paying. If you have legitimately attempted to cancel and there was an accidental rebilling, they will refund your money. They are not hard-asses.
2. Not enough Offered in Starter Membership
It’s a complaint that frustrates me because I spend a lot of time helping people in the community for free, and somehow that’s never enough. I spend the first hours or the first two hours every day in the community talking to free and paid members, answering questions about their online activities.
In the free subscription, you can create a free website, understand how affiliate marketing works, and also have access to more than 500 free training modules showing you how to grow your business.
For people to argue that free membership is not good enough because it does not give you complete access to everything?
So what you have here is that people are complaining about something they have received for free because it is not enough. They had nothing before. Now they have something (website, training, support). It’s like someone giving you $ 10, and you threw it away because it was not $ 50.
Many people suggest that the wealthy affiliate should allow members to do everything for free, then pay a portion of their earnings after they start earning money. Considering that it may take six months or a year to start generating income, I would like to see how it would work. Now, Wealthy Affiliate has to chase you for six months? I do not think so
Of course, we would all like something for nothing. It’s the human instinct. They could certainly offer more in the Starter Membership, and they can do it in the future. For now, it’s a good deal where you can sign up and get basic training for affiliates without even depositing a credit card.
3. They forbid some plugins
This issue does not occur always, but it arises from time to time. There are some plugins that they do not allow in their hosting. The most frequently requested is JetPack. This is a viral plugin, but it is very heavy in features.
They are not the only host to do this; for example, WPEngine lists the Jetpack as a server and MySQL thrashing plug-in. Also, many hosts forbid specific plugins to save their servers and manage websites.
In general, there are good reasons for this, and most of the features that users enjoy can be obtained with other plug-ins or services. For example, the Jetpack traffic tracking feature is quickly replaced by Google Analytics.
4. They only offer basic TLDs
Wealthy Affiliate currently only offers .com, .net, and .org domain names through its SiteDomains domain service. You will not be able to purchase country-specific domains or any of them, such as .fun or .blog.
I see both sides to this question. On the one hand, if you are creating an affiliate website, you only need these three top-level domain extensions. Everything else is usually a waste of time and money.
However, if you decide to use Wealthy Affiliate hosting for tasks such as hosting local business websites or creating a local language affiliate site, you may need to use a dedicated registrar, such as Namecheap, to buy domains.
Remember, you can still use Wealthy Affiliate to host your site, even if it’s not your registrar! Just change the DNS of your domain after buying your domain elsewhere.
5. No phone number
This is a frequent complaint, and I understand. Most large companies will have a phone number where you can solve problems on the spot. Some companies are abandoning phone numbers. For example, among the services I use, I can think of several that only have a live chat system or help with tickets.
Kinsta accommodation has no telephone number. OptinMonster does not have a phone number. StudioPress does not make use of phone number.
So, they are not completely weird for not having a phone number. Having a phone number increases your expenses, so consider a method to keep your membership rates low. However, I can see how frustrating it can be to have a billing problem, and you have to wait two days to receive an e-mail response.
Members requested a phone number for billing and website support. In terms of billing support, I agree that a phone number would be helpful (and faster). For site support, it’s not feasible. Most things go to ticket support, so you can see screenshots and links to what’s going on.
Have you ever tried advising on creating websites over the phone? I have done it. It’s a nightmare.
6. A lot of chatter in the community
Another complaint I often hear is that live chat is not productive. People who talk live throw a breath of air instead of saying something useful.
Here’s my pick about it: you probably did not spend enough time chatting!
I watch live chat every day to keep an eye on unanswered questions. Besides, I spend a few hours a week helping and contributing to the discussion. The vast majority of what I see are productive discussions on the topics of affiliate marketing, business, and online money.
Of course, there are a lot of useless conversations, and I am known to do it myself! It’s a community, people. People have fun while working.
Here is an excellent example! Sometimes I let myself know that I speak and I will answer for 15 to 20 minutes. Only then does my friend (who also runs a successful online business) come through here. Since there are no beginner questions, we only take the time to talk until someone asks a question.
Yes, you may consider this a waste of time talking nonsense, but at least the chat is active. Would you prefer to see a dead live chat?
So there is a mix of useful information and general conversations in live chat. If you want to get closer to other Internet entrepreneurs in any context, make friends. If you’re going to stay in the “learning mode” while you’re in the community, that’s good too. Enter, ask your questions, and go back to work.
7. Too many emails
Here is the complaint of “too many emails” that I mentioned at the top of this page. Yes, I agree that too many Emails sucks.
However, Wealthy Affiliate can be an involved community, so there is a lot to learn about how Wealthy Affiliate works and grow your business online. You need to know how to navigate your dashboard, create your website, and make money online.
There is a lot to learn when you start a business, so yes, there will be a lot of essential emails on your way.
That said, you can still change your email settings. Access your account settings, and you can disable them entirely or choose the ones that interest you. Simple to modify!
Finally, make sure the emails you complain about come from Wealthy Affiliate. It’s not uncommon for someone to talk to me about annoying emails and find out they’re talking about a different program. I receive e-mail requests for refunds for products I have never heard of. I think some people do not pay attention to what they are signed up for.
8. it’s too expensive
Here is the price analysis of what costs money in Wealthy Affiliate.
Membership Fee: $ 49 / month
Domain: US $ 14 / year
Jaaxy (optional) $ 19 / month
If you upgrade to the annual version, you save more than 40%. The cost is $ 359 a year, or about $ 29 a month.
This means that you can manage your entire business for one year for $ 359 + $ 14 or $ 1.02 a day.
It’s a dollar a day to run a six-figure contract.
A cup of coffee at Starbucks costs $ 2.45, my friend. A dollar a day for individual advice on how to start your own online business is not so expensive.
Yes, I realize that everyone will not have the $ 19 (discounted) rate for the first month. Some people do not have $ 49 more per month to pay the regular rate, or $ 359 upfront if you want to benefit from the discounted price. I understood. Money can be tight!
This does not mean that the Wealthy Affiliate is expensive. It just means you can not afford it.
However, I find this unlikely. Most of us, including myself, have set budget targets and then go beyond them every day. You need to save just $ 2 a day to have the fees to pay for your membership. What fat can you cut off from your lifestyle?
I’m not going to judge you here, but a single meal in a Japanese restaurant can easily cost more than $ 50. Could you save fifty dollars for not going out to eat or drink? Could you make coffee at home and not buy it on the way to work?
The fact is, I think most of us could scrounge up $ 50 a month if we wanted to.
If you are living your last 49 dollars every month, you must make life changes before starting a business. Once again, I am not here to judge. I am just realistic.
9. Rank Gamers and Spambassadors
This is a funny one, but it sucks, so I agree with this complaint. Let me explain it to you.
The Wealthy Affiliate has a ranking system in which members are ranked in order of activity on the platform. I am currently in 7th place because I answer and ask a lot of questions, post messages, and participate in live chat. I have also published training modules.
The more activity you perform, the higher your score will be.
This internal evaluation measure does not influence the income of your affiliate site. It does not change your membership. It does not matter, except to show how active you are in the community.
Some members are very competitive and are trying to challenge the system to improve their ranking within the system. They do not do it maliciously and think it’s cool to have a high ranking, love involvement, and all the positive vibrations in the community.
Even if they have good intentions, it can sometimes be annoying. They leave short answers, ask silly questions, or follow crappy training to appear active and retain their “ambassador” status.
What is an ambassador?
A Wealthy Affiliate Ambassador is simply the designation given to anyone with a rank of 25 or higher. The underlying ideology is that since this person is active in the community, they can act as “ambassadors” for new members. You know, show them the ways, explain the basics of the training and help them if they get stuck.
They are not always “experts” in affiliate marketing, but many of them are, including me!
Once again, there is no incentive to be an ambassador. It’s just to be a fun thing for other members. The funniest thing is that the so-called ambassadors, who play the system to reach a rank, have been dubbed “spam-bassadors.”
What is the solution? Just ignore them. There are only a few of them, and they usually get bored when they discover that their time is more valuable when they are spent on their affiliate site.
10. Wrong Answers
A Wealthy Affiliate is supposed to teach you how to do affiliate marketing so you can make money online. So I understand when people complain that their members give wrong answers or bad advice.
However, the majority of the advice you receive from Wealthy Affiliate is correct. I am there every day to exchange questions, so I have a good overview of what is being said. This is mostly legal advice, and depending on how I build my affiliate sites.
That said, there are times when beginners (see the spambassadors above) start giving advice that they do not understand. It’s rarely something that hurts your business. Instead, these are usually simple mistakes such as “meta-keywords are important for SEO.” Well, the meta-keywords are certainly not necessary for SEO! But, making use of meta keywords will not break your site. You’re just going to waste your time.
The good news is that it is a thriving community. Most of the time, they will react quickly to counter lousy advice. The owners of several subsidiaries either agree with their opinion or respond directly to the wrong answer to contradict it.
Wealthy Affiliate is a community, so there are a lot of activities going on. It’s not different from any other forum where everyone can speak freely. When you ask a question, it’s like looking for an answer from a crowd. If you get ten answers and one of them is different from the rest, you can ignore it and follow the advice of the group.
11. No control panel
If you are a novice, you will not care if you have access to cPanel. If you are an experienced webmaster, that does not bother you either. Why Because cPanel is not needed?
There is common ground among semi-experienced site owners who are used to using cPanel as their primary means of accessing the background of their site. cPanel is typically used in popular shared hosting companies such as Hostgator and Bluehost. You can use cPanel to edit files, add new domains, create email addresses, and manage other tasks.
However, cPanel is a pile of garbage. The last time I tried using it, it looked like it was designed in the late ’90s and never updated. Of course, it does the job, but it is clunky and difficult to navigate. There are much better ways to do things.
12. A referral is not available
One of the main incentives to register with Wealthy Affiliate is the possibility of getting individual help in the community. As a bonus, many affiliates, like me, add an incentive to make them available via a private message for any questions.
For instance, every morning, the first thing I do is long in the community, and I go through my private messages. The second thing I do is review the recent questions from my referrals and check all previous topics to see if anyone has asked follow-up questions.
I’m on the ball! Plus, I have almost ten years of experience in affiliate marketing, so I know what I’m doing.
The problem is that not all affiliates do this, and some who do are not very good at it. They are not available every day for questions or do not give complete answers. Whatever their reason might be, they are not happy with whom they joined through.
This whole “mentorship” business is not a guaranteed part of your membership. As I mentioned above, this is only a bonus offered by some people. The community works very well and does an incredible job training you to become a profitable affiliate, even if you do not have direct contact with a specific “mentor.”
It does not matter who you join through. You always have access to live chat where you can ask questions about the audience who are participating. This includes many multi-million affiliate marketers, as well as ordinary people like you, who are learning to do these things.
There is always an opportunity to learn, and it does not matter from whom you learn.
Also, you have access to “classrooms,” which are necessarily segmented forums where you can ask/answer questions and answer topics.
All other Wealthy Affiliate features are the same, and you can always help other PM members. Your answer is not guaranteed (people are creating their affiliate sites), but you can still contact many members for help.
All this to say that even if the person who referred you to Wealthy Affiliate is not an excellent mentor, you can still get great results from your training. It’s not something that will make or break your online marketing career. I have never had contact with my mentor and now look at me!
13. Free domain not included in the price
There is certainly a bit of confusion around the notion of “free website,” which is advertised frequently. Yes, you get two free sites as a Starter Member (free membership). You also get 25 free sites as a Premium member.
However, these are subdomains.
That means they are mywebsite.siterubix.com. This is the same concept as Blogger free sites and WordPress.com sites, which would be mywebsite.wordpress.com and mywebsite.blogspot.com, respectively.
Subdomains are good for tinkering and starting your first website. No commitment required! Try it and see if you want to continue.
However, if you are targeting a serious business, you must upgrade to a top-level domain (TLD) such as .com /org/net. They will rank better and faster, no doubt!
Some newly created Premium members get upset when they realize they will have to buy a domain for about $ 14 a year. Wealthy Affiliate domains are relatively inexpensive, costing $ 13.99 / year for a .com with Privacy and SSL included. (This is also a package, the price will not double or triple next year, as with Godaddy and many other registrars)
Since Wealthy Affiliate is launched as an “all-in-one” solution for building your affiliate website, I can understand why some people would be unhappy with having to buy a $ 14 domain after spending $ 19 for the first month of membership.
However, I see this:
It’s $ 14 a year. This means that the domain will cost less than $ 1 per month. It will not break the bank.
Also, registering a domain costs money, even for a wealthy affiliate. So the deal would be to pay $ 19 and get a free domain name of $ 14? I’m sure they would lose money on every member of the first month if it did!
I think a potential solution might be to include a free TLD when you buy an annual subscription ($ 359). It seems to me to be a fair compromise!
14. Can not downgrade from premium to starter
Here is a real disappointment that I meet quite a bit. People want to lower their Premium account to Starter, which is not possible.
This gives you seven days of access to some premium features for new starter members. After these seven days, your starter account is limited to 10 lessons in Online Entrepreneur Certification and ten lessons in Affiliate Bootcamp Program. You can also access all member-created courses, which are probably 1,000+ modules, and of course, those two free sites where you can continue to work on.
However, after upgrading to Premium, when you cancel, you cancel. You can not host any sites for free, and you can not access any training module.
The ideology behind it is that you know what the Wealthy affiliate is already, so you are either in or out. The trial is over!
I understand that many people would like to try Premium (full features like weekly webinars, private messages, and all Premium lessons), then downgrade to Starter and wait for them to be ready to commit to the monthly subscription.
I am in the middle of this complaint. On the one hand, you must understand that these people run a business and that paying customers have a preference. It’s a hard sell to tell them, “Okay, I want to stop paying, but please help me transfer my site to a free account first.” Imagine that you owned the business. Would you do that?
On the other hand, I see people who want to be able to log in and out of their Premium account. It sucks that for a month, you can pay $ 49, but you were super busy, so you only logged in once. Or maybe you have financial problems that occur, and you want to downgrade for a month, then come back next month.
There are instances where switching between Starter and Premium would be convenient.
I do not possess the right answer here. What would you do with your domain? Switchback between a subdomain and .com? This will destroy your ranking. Will you move the hosts? Then you lose access to Wealthy Affiliate features such as SiteReview, SiteContent, and SiteComments. Are you going to change hosts every two months by moving your domain between Wealthy Affiliate Hosting and BlueHost?
Final Verdicts on all these complaints
Of course, I’m still a fan of Wealthy Affiliate despite all these complaints. Do you know the reason? Because the training has been proven to work and the community is the best on the Internet. Where else can you sit alongside billionaires, experienced entrepreneurs, and ordinary people who want to quit the job they hate.
It’s a cool place, and I hope you’ll take the time to check if you want to learn how to make money with affiliate marketing!
Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?
Wealthy Affiliate does not make bold promises in its advertisements. It merely promises to give you several tools and to train to help you get started in creating an affiliate marketing business.
There is a lot to learn to succeed in affiliate marketing, from creating an SEO website to selecting the right niche. Wealthy Affiliate provides you with a plan and the tools you need to get started, but it’s up to you to invest the time and effort required to succeed.
The right side is that there is no limit to what you can do once you understand the basics of affiliate marketing.
Is Wealthy Affiliate worth it?
Wealthy Affiliate is an excellent springboard for beginners and people who already know more than a few basics.
Indeed, the Wealthy Affiliate is a complete package. When you pay for your membership, you spend much more than just training. You pay for fast website hosting, a network of other affiliate marketers, up-to-date training, and keyword research tools.
So, even if you do not find the training truly mind-boggling, you derive a lot of value from your association with website hosting and the keyword research tool.
A big secret to why People Think Wealthy Affiliates Is a Scam …
You see, other inexperienced affiliate marketers think that the only way to promote something is to give the impression that it is the absolute no one best thing in the world and that it will make you 100% rich overnight!
Of course, this approach can lead some people to buy, but in the end, it creates unrealistic expectations and attracts the wrong people!
For me, I do not care if telling you that turns you off. If you want to get rich fast, do not buy a Wealthy Affiliate!
Also, if you have ten children, you can not work and no money – for God’s sake, do not buy!
Whether to get a Wealthy affiliate or to get groceries your kids – buy groceries! Your children will thank you later.
To excel in affiliate marketing, you will need money.
Affiliate marketing requires time, effort, and a lot of learning, just like any other business!
Bottom line: Wealthy Affiliate is not a scam – but it is marketed by other affiliates as a get rich quick scheme – which is not the case!
Who should register for Wealthy Affiliate?
The main objective of any review, including this review of Wealthy Affiliate, is to help you decide whether or not to register or buy something. For starters, since you can create a free account at Wealthy Affiliate, I think it’s an obvious way forward. Do not take my word or any other person’s word for it; see for yourself! There is no credit card or anything like that required. It’s free to try.
But, Wealthy Affiliate is not intended for everyone, so let’s first talk about who is FOR, and then I’ll talk specifically about who is NOT.
Wealthy Affiliate is the perfect place for those new to the industry. Of course, savvy marketers can also enjoy the benefits of a Wealthy Affiliate membership, but the service is genuinely created for those who are new to the industry and need to learn how to create an online business from scratch.
Quick enrichment strategy?
Also, Wealthy Affiliate is not and never claims to be a quick enrichment strategy. You will learn how to create a real and legitimate online business that can earn you money. However, like any business, it will take a lot of time, effort, patience, and support. If you have realistic expectations, if you want to learn from those who have succeeded before you and ready to spend at least six months in your business before making a profit, Wealthy Affiliate is a right place for you.
A wealthy Affiliate is also a great place for those who want to have everything they need in one place. From market research tools to web authoring tools, domain registration, website hosting, website backups, website security, etc., everything is in one place. And all these tools come with complete step-by-step training videos, as well as a support community that can help you in case of a problem. If you do not want to pay ten different companies for ten various services required to run your business, sign up for Wealthy Affiliate so that everything is in one place. Wealthy Affiliate provides everything you need to succeed in your online business.
Who should not register for Wealthy Affiliate?
Although I suggest that everyone subscribe to the free membership to Wealthy Affiliate to at least see what it looks like, an online business is not intended for everyone. These are the set of people who should keep off from the Wealthy Affiliate.
I realized that many people who sign up for Wealthy Affiliate are those who are in urgent need of financial assistance. They may have lost a job or suffered another financial setback, such as medical problems. The fact is that these people have no reason to stay away from Wealthy Affiliate, but many hope to be able to create a full-time income within weeks, if not months. This is not the case. Remember that it takes an average of 3 years to make a profit. Fortunately, an online business will not take you that long, but it will take a lot of time and effort. If you need a quick source of income, Wealthy Affiliate is not the place to provide it. Instead, Wealthy Affiliate teaches you to create a real and sustainable online business over an extended period.
Anyone who wants to make money fast should stay away from the Wealthy Affiliate. There are many ebooks and courses to “make money fast,” and they are all a scam (believe me). Although wealthy affiliates are legitimate, they will never claim that they will teach you how to make money quickly.
Building a legitimate online business takes time.
Do not join Wealthy Affiliate if you do not like the community / social aspect. A big part of Wealthy Affiliate is the ability to communicate with other members. It is a community of “help and be helped.” If you’re not interested in setting up your profile, asking questions, helping other users, chatting live, or doing any participation, you will not enjoy all the benefits of the service.
If you do not like writing, do not apply to Wealthy Affiliate. The business model taught by Wealthy Affiliate revolves around producing large amounts of content to attract visitors to search engines. This means that when you build your business, you write almost every day, as I do on the same blog that you are reading. I wrote over 10,000 words in this article, and it’s not over yet. Affiliate marketing takes work, and if you can not or do not want to write a ton of content, do not even think about it. Being a writer will end up taking much of your time.
Finally, if you are thinking of just “diving into the water” to see what affiliate marketing is, do not sign up to become a premium member. The free subscription is more than enough for you to see what it is. Premium membership must be reserved for those who are interested in creating a real business. If you do not like it in the long run, there is no reason to waste your money.
Alternative training programs to consider besides Wealthy Affiliates
Before I get into alternatives to Wealthy Affiliate, I have to give you MAJOR notice. The “making money online” niche is filled with crooks and people who make fun of you or take your money. Pay close attention to who you send your email, personal information, and credit card information to.
Now that I’ve warned you, here are some alternatives you should consider and compare with Wealthy Affiliate:
Solo Build it – As I mentioned earlier in this article, I first learned how to build my own business with this service. Solo Build It is a bit similar to Wealthy Affiliate about training, but I believe that training in Solo Build is far superior. My favorite aspect about Solo Build It, however, is that they offer EVERYTHING you need to grow your business online, including domain registration, an intuitive website builder, research tools, hosting and all other devices in one place with training on how to put everything together.
You will surely know more about them by visiting their video tour.
Although I have promoted Affilorama in the past, I do not do that anymore for several reasons. It has merely become very outdated. Affilorama also has no part in the training. Instead, they are committed to helping you get started quickly by creating a website for you and seeding it with content. Part of the optional training courses they sell are costly and compares to a full annual subscription at Wealthy Affiliate. That’s why I do not promote them anymore. Again, it’s worth checking out; however, I think a Wealthy Affiliate is a much better deal.
This is an online training platform where “instructors” create different courses and market them to “students.” There are very high-quality courses at Udemy created by high-quality instructors who have made a lot of money online, but there are also many low-quality courses. Most high-quality courses are quite expensive, sometimes exceeding $ 100. Although the training can be useful, the Wealthy Affiliate training is also excellent, without forgetting all the tools, the community, and the support. Again, I think the Wealthy Affiliate is the best option.
Warrior Forum WSO’s
Warrior Forum WSO is the only option in the list that I tell you not to use. Warrior Forum WSO’s is almost always a scam, and none of them will teach you how to create a real online business. This forum community belongs to Freelancer.com and will allow anyone to sell just about anything. Most of them are very cheap, but when you give them your email address, get ready to receive spam messages. Also, they almost always include “upsell,” for which the initial product costs only a few dollars, but all other products sold at the first product cost much more. We could discuss all day about why you should never purchase a Warrior Forum WSO.
Free Training Across the Web
Whether you like or not, most of the training I have received over the years are sources that I found for free on the Web. You should also consult sources such as YouTube. Sites like YouTube are indeed full of crooks and spammers, but some gems are associated with it. For example, you can search for keynote speeches on affiliate marketing at various conferences, such as Affiliate Summit speakers. Using free content on the Web is difficult to solve and makes sense, so it’s best to use a service such as Wealthy Affiliate because you can learn the things you need to learn in the order you must learn them without any distractions. But, as you continue to progress, you may need to learn something specific. At this point, you can access free sources on the web to find what you need.
Most of the time, there are no other high-quality affiliate marketing training programs available today. The first couple I listed is the only other service I would consider over Wealthy Affiliate, but in the end, Wealthy Affiliate is in a category of its own.
How Does Wealthy Affiliate Compare To Affiliate Marketing Courses?
To get a sense of real value Wealthy Affiliate offers, you have to compare it to other courses on affiliate marketing. Fortunately, after several months of research, I have a good idea of the courses that work and others that doesn’t.
So let’s see how they compare to some of the courses that offer some value.
Deadbeat Super Affiliate Vs. Wealthy Affiliate
I loved the Super Affiliate Deadbeat when I started the course. It was appealing, fun, and providing actionable information. The problem I had with it was that it was created in 2015 and many of the techniques it taught were outdated or could be subject to a Google penalty.
Wealthy Affiliate does not experience these issues because its content is continuously updated, so you have the most up-to-date information. Also, it does not teach you anything blackhat so that you will have no problem with Google. However, it also means that it will be much harder to rank your websites.
The content of Wealthy Affiliate is not as exciting as it could be, but a whole community is built around the product. This helps to stay on track and less likely to get frustrated when you hit an obstacle.
However, what Wealthy Affiliate does not have that Deadbeat Super Affiliate has is to make videos on Youtube. I think Deadbeat has a lot of valuable information and could give a boost to your affiliate commissions.
The entry price of both products is similar to that of Wealthy Affiliate ($ 19 the first month) and Deadbeat Super Affiliate ($ 17) in the basic program. Of course, Wealthy Affiliate costs $ 49 a month after the beginning, and Deadbeat offers a wide variety of upsells.
Authority Hacker Vs. Wealthy Affiliate
The Authority Hacker course is an excellent system designed by Gael Brenton and Mark Webster, which mainly fulfills the promises of Wealthy Affiliate, but in a much more sophisticated way.
This can be a bit intimidating for those who have never for once built a website, but it covers many topics in a much more detailed way than Wealthy Affiliate.
The only drawback of Authority Hacker is that it’s $ 997 for the basic course, plus upsells. But if you are serious about creating affiliate websites and feel comfortable with the technology.
SEO Affiliate Domination vs. Wealthy Affiliate
Greg Jeffries SEO Affiliate Domination is a little different from the Wealthy Affiliate.
On the one hand, SEO Affiliate Domination focuses on the backlinking much more than the Wealthy Affiliate. It also teaches more “gray hat” SEO techniques. This means that you get results much faster than with the Wealthy Affiliate alone.
SEO Affiliate Domination also teaches techniques that can help you choose profitable niches and gain valuable insights that are critical to the success of affiliate marketing.
However, SEO Affiliate Domination costs a little more than the Wealthy Affiliate, at $ 97 a month for a year, or a one-time fee of $ 997. The Wealthy Affiliate costs $ 49 a month and comes with web hosting.
Some final thoughts
I hope you found this review useful because I spent a lot of time on it, but if there are some of your questions which I did not answer, feel free to comment below, and I will try to give you the best answer I can.
It is fascinating to become a member of Wealthy Affiliate as they continually update the platform to make it better. It has recently undergone many major updates, and by 2019 many more expected changes will make it even more robust!
In the end, Wealthy Affiliate is the best place I have ever seen to get the training and all the tools you need in one place. Plus, if you register using my affiliate link, I will personally provide you with 1 in 1 coaching. In the end, you should start by registering for a free membership and see what you think. If you are serious about growing an online business, I guess you will be more than satisfied.
That said, you should be able to understand why I rank wealthy affiliates the way I do. They are my best business opportunity because they have the best program to help entrepreneurs improve their marketing plans.
